Attorney Edward G. Attorney Edward G. Lawson operates an ably staffed, full-service law office that offers a variety of services to both consumer and business clients in all federal and state courts in the State of Rhode Island and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These courts include the Rhode Island District, Traffic Tribunal, Family, Workers Compensation, Superior and Supreme Courts, the U.S. District Court, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, the District, Superior, Family and Probate, and Supreme Court and Appeals Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Edward (Ted) Lawson graduated from Boston College in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business as well as receiving a commission as an officer in the United States Army. In 1969, Attorney Lawson was awarded a Juris Doctorate degree from Boston College Law School and in November 1969, was admitted to practice law in the State of Rhode Island. After service in Vietnam, and release from active duty in the U. S. Army in 1971, he assumed control of the family trucking business, while extending his own personal business interests into real estate investing as well as a partnership in a large marina.
At the same time Attorney Lawson operated his businesses, he commenced the practice of law helping members of the community in respect to matters concerning divorce and personal injury, including auto accidents and slip and falls, business and real estate transactions, bankruptcies, probate, criminal, and estate planning. Throughout the 1980’s, Attorney Lawson transitioned into the exclusive, full-time practice of law at his present location, dedicating his career to helping people to resolve a multitude of legal problems and concerns.
